The Art of Communication

My dad basically called me a dumb slut today without saying those exact words. And I told my mom that he’s the reason I can’t wait to leave for college without having to say it directly and hurt her feelings.

Yay for unnecessary drama/stress.

For some scary reason, there have been quite a few people in car accidents recently. More specifically teens. It’s beyond alarming when you hear that your friend(s) was/were in a wreck. It’s a horrible feeling.

Pleaseee drive safely people. And whether you’re the driver or a passenger, WEAR YOUR SEATBELT. One of my friends who was just in a wreck has a bruise across her chest from when the belt kept her from being thrown from the car. Those things might actually be useful :)

About this whole “growing up” thing

My mom and I were talking earlier about visiting Texas State (which is where I’m going), and the housing, etc. then yesterday I was talking with my one of my best friends about how she’s going to Howard and how this will be the first time that we’re really separated.

Now I’m just thinking of how these past 4 years I’ve been counting down the days until college. I still am; everything just feels so…surreal. Kind of like time isn’t really moving. I guess because I’m still IN high school while preparing for college. It’s so close that it seems as if it’ll never really happen. If that makes sense. It does.

The days go by slow but the weeks fly by.
